ABOUT / A LITTLE MORE OF THE STORY

Curious by nature.
Always creating.

I'm a quiet thinker, an observer, and someone whose ideas often move faster than I can make them. I love finding the connections between things, asking questions, and turning a thought into something real.

That curiosity has carried me from print and visual design into brand work, digital experiences, and creative projects I never could have imagined growing up.

A CREATIVE THREAD

Before I
knew what
design was.

Magazines were my happy place. I loved the contrast and composition of Benetton's photography, Esprit's expressive graphics, and the playful lines of Fido Dido. And I could get completely lost in a book. Mary Poppins was a favorite.

Back then, today's creative technology didn't exist. I wasn't sure what I'd become. I just knew I loved looking, learning, and imagining what could be possible.

Eventually, I found an outlet for that curiosity in design. Print production taught me the craft, and each new medium gave me another way to turn what I noticed into something useful.

I didn’t know the language of design yet. I just knew what caught my eye.
THE CREATIVE EXCHANGE

My ideas move
faster than I can make them.

I bring years of creative experience, curiosity, and a point of view. AI brings fresh perspectives and new possibilities. It usually starts with something that matters to me, a question, a problem to solve, or an idea I can’t leave alone. Through exploration, conversation, and plenty of refinement, something begins to take shape.

WHAT DRIVES ME / FIRST THINGS FIRST

Faith first.
Creativity with purpose.

My relationship with Jesus Christ comes first. I love studying God's Word, following the connections through Scripture, and finding ways to share the Gospel that help people understand the Bible and know Jesus more deeply.

Sometimes that becomes a song, a visual explanation, a learning tool, or a digital experience. It's the creative work closest to my heart.

DESIGN

Making ideas clear, useful, and memorable.

MUSIC

Exploring Scripture, emotion, and story through sound.

LEARNING

Asking questions, studying deeply, and trying new tools.

PEOPLE

Loving my family, collaborating, and creating to serve others.

Not every project is an expression of ministry. I also love solving real communication problems and helping people do their work well.

OUTSIDE THE WORK

The people.
The pups.
The plot twists.

My husband Kelvin, our daughters Zahria and Kennedy, and the rest of our family are a big part of the life behind my work. They're the people I laugh with, learn from, and come home to. Life with them has given me plenty of stories, including a few I never could have seen coming.

TRUE STORY / DOG EDITION

I ran from dogs.
Now? Three doodles.

A group of dogs chased me home from elementary school once. I was so scared I ran right past my grandmother! Today, between Kelvin, Zahria, Kennedy, and me, we have three doodles: Bentley, our oldest mini Goldendoodle; Kiki, a mini Aussiedoodle; and Snickers, a mini Bernedoodle. Snickers wasn't even planned. A friend intended to adopt her, changed her mind, and now Snickers runs the house. My grandmother would have gotten a kick out of that.

BEFORE DATING APPS

There was a Mac.

Kelvin and I were introduced by a mutual friend. On our very first phone call, before we'd even met, he told me someone had given him a Macintosh in exchange for his music production work. He didn't know how to use it. Since I was a graphic designer, he offered me the computer if I'd teach him.

Twenty-seven years of marriage later, we're still creating. Not a bad first conversation.

There’s always more to explore.

I'm still learning, asking questions, and finding new ways to turn ideas into something meaningful. Thanks for getting to know the person behind the work.
